Lower extremity ischemia, commonly referred to as Peripheral Arterial Disease or PAD, is caused by a decrease in blood flow (circulation) to the legs.
Carotid Artery Disease
Disease of the carotid arteries can lead to stroke. Much as narrowed arteries to the heart can cause a heart attack, narrowed arteries to the brain, can lead to a “brain attack”, commonly called a stroke.
Simply stated, an aneurysm is a widening of an artery. These can occur anywhere in the body from an artery in the foot to an artery in the brain. We specialize in the diagnosis and management of all Aneurysms outside of the brain.
Hemodialysis requires that the blood be removed from the body, cleansed by the dialysis machine and then returned to the body, cleansed and free from the toxins that are usually removed by the kidney.
