Neil H. Poulsen, MD joined the Cardiovascular Care Group in 2021, after successfully completing his vascular surgery fellowship at Carolinas Medical Center and general surgery residency at St. Barnabas Medical Center. He is board certified in vascular surgery and general surgery. His clinical interests include thoracic and abdominal aortic disease, carotid disease, peripheral vascular disease, thoracic outlet syndrome, dialysis access and deep venous disease. He is highly trained in both endovascular intervention and open vascular surgery techniques.

Dr. Poulsen played professional hockey for two years prior to pursuing a career in medicine. He is married with twin daughters who he loves spending time with. He also enjoys fishing and hiking in his spare time.
